The Imaging Gauge targets are available in three sizes to enable maximum ratio of target size to camera Field-of-View (FOV). The targets are identical, scaled version of each other which can all be used in conjunction with the APPLIED IMAGE GAUGE Software. Binary encoding is used to determine the target size automatically when analyzed.
The targets are mounted on rigid mounting board. The pigment-based Munsell color patches and silver halide media are mounted with high quality adhesive to withstand difficult environmental conditions in field use
|Color Patches:|| Eighteen (18) patches are included to assess the color accuracy of|
the system. These represent a wide gamut of colors expected in
|Neutral Patches:|| Six (6) gray patches are included to assess the characteristic curve of|
the camera as well as noise and neutral color balance.
|Resolution Features:|| Our unique ACCUedgeTM
slanted-edge resolution feature is used for|
analytical assessment by computer. Visual features are used to
|Uniformity Patches:|| Four (4) identical patches are placed in the corners of the target to|
assess the uniformity of lighting across the image.
Colors included on IMAGING GAUGE targets are the same as the X-Rite Munsell ColorChecker Classic target. These colors are a widely accepted standard in the industry. In fact, APPLIED IMAGE has selected the exact colors used to manufacture ColorChecker Classic target to manufacture IMAGING GAUGE.
X-Rite, the Munsell Color Laboratory, and APPLIED IMAGE, manufacture products in conformance to the accreditation practices and procedures set forth by the National Institute of Standards and Technology [NIST]. All production instrumentation and equipment is traceable to NIST. The X-Rite Munsell Color laboratory is an internationally recognized laboratory holding accreditations from ISO 9001 and ISO 2000.
Slanted Edge: Designed to provide input signal for analysis using ISO 12233 test algorithm. Spatial Frequency Response is calculated in horizontal and vertical directions.
RIT Alphanumeric: Configuration with frequency range 12.7 to 228.1 dpi. Useful where cross consistency among users is important. The viewer must visually resolve the alphanumeric characters in order to determine the dpi.
|USAF 1951: Meets all requirements as specified in MIL-STD-150A. Frequency range is 12.7 to 723.9 dpi. No cross reference documentation is required to determine frequencies.|
|TVL Wedge: TV Line targets are provided in horizontal and vertical directions. Two sets of each combine to offer a range from 200 to 15,000 TVL (approx. 10 to 625 dpi)|
